    Which box? Help..

Is there a box that with a magiceye or send receiever you can watch something else in one room and change the channel in another?

Could anyone recommend which box will be able to do this? Or if there is any that can do a similiar job?

I'm not bothered about price either.

magic eye wont work without adding a global plus or the bluedelta blaster , and most boxes require an adapter for rf output , unless you use a video sender instead

obviously a sly box allows this

have a good read of this forum as its all been talked about previously

Does a magic eye allow you to watch something else in another room? While someone is watching something else on the main box?

Heres what he wants, Sky in 1 room, then Sky able to view in another 3 rooms via a magic eye? is this possible? and can they turn oover and watch something else or do they have to watch what is on thebox?

no , all a magic eye does is take the signal from the infra red remote control and pass it down the coax cable to the sly receiver , its nothing to do with viewing channels , just allows you to turn the box over from a different room

you can only watch the channel it is on , nothing else

You have to watch what is on the main box in the 3 other rooms via magic eye otherwise you need another 3 separate receivers.

Right his downstairs tele isn't HD... but I installed an Openbox S10 yesterday there..

****ing stupid I know because he's loaded.

he doesn't even use the downstairs TV so say I leave the Openbox S10 there without the scart connected to the TV what can I do to transmit this to 2 other rooms? is there any equipment that will do such a thing?

So Basically Openbox S10... and wants to view it in 2 other rooms watching the same channel...

              HELP!!

as stated earlier , you need to convert the output into wifi or to rf delivered by coax cable

so for wifi use a videosender , 1 base station and if they sell them 2 satellite stations ( or use 2 sets ) , then tune the tv,s into the videosender ( or use phono or scarts , however they work ) so that the signal from the open is transmitted around the house and picked up by the one in the other rooms , and use the videsender receivers to accept the signals from the remote control

to do this by rf needs a splitter booster , magic eyes , global or bluedelta IR transmitters , and a scart or phono to rf console adapter to convert the openbox output to rf , then send down the coax , through the splitter to each room , and tune the tv,s in , and use magic eyes to control the open from the distant rooms

not easy in either case , BUT you did ask

and you will only get the channel the box is on , nothing else

I would have to agree with ramjet here its a lot of fiddling about and costly to run 2 magic eyes from 1 box, especially when that box does not have RF2 out like a sky box or it would have been simple.

Heres my suggestion to keep costs down get a Mercury RF adaptor from the bay cost around ?19 these are what i get for customers who want a similar job doing, the mercury has scart input and scart loopthrough as well as 2 RF outs.

So all you need to do is connect the Scart into mercury Scart back into TV and run 2 seperate coaxs from the 2 RF outs on the mercury as long as he's not bothered about controlling the box from the other TV's then this will set you back ?19 plus the cost of 2 coax runs.

If he wants the magic eye bit then Ramjet gave you a solution with the Global or bluedelta and there is also the TVlink+ thats very similar.

He has just text me saying I will pay whatever is required...

Is there a more simpler option? Don't care how expensive it is either..

All I want is one box to send signals to 2 other TV's where he can change channel...

He will purchase a new box aswell if need be. And put the openbox in his lads room, if that helps.

                    Cheers

Which ever way you look at it your going to need an RF adaptor and either the TVlink+ or Global solution or the Bluedelta + magic eyes and run 2 cables for the one box

                            Right...

he has just told me he wants a box that has the facility to record. Watch one thing and record another 2/3 etc...

So what box is capable of doing this aswell as transmitting to another 2 rooms.

what about a 5.8Ghz wireless sender do they detect a remote control aswell?

Right. could someone find me a suitable option. I would be extremly greatful!

Which box with twin tuner will send to another 2 rooms, and what equipment will i need and how much will this cost? Including an extra 2 remotes (He needs to be able to change channel in the other 2 rooms)

And which single tuner HD box will send to another 2 rooms and what equipment is needed ^ as above.

CHEERS Sorry to be an absolute IDIOT
