i dont know why your all at each others throats about this we should all be laughing are b###xes off. this is skys last chance to have a minute influence on who watches the prem(being fapl s biggest customer obviosly has abit of sway hense fapl bringing the murhy case not sky) never before have sly not shown the biggest game of the weekend nevermind the two biggest like tomorrow ie city game or united game not on sly. sly are well and truly f##ked when it comes to the prem(even before the rights come up for renewal) thats why there pi##ing about with silly copyright logos and buying up the irish league and gaa and darts things they can buy cheap that they think the pubs cant do without. they will lose the rights, they will get sued, they will lose millions and best of all we will still be watching premiership football without lineing uncle ruppees pockets, if this means ballotelli and rooney have to take a pay cut so be it!!

it is a joint op with BSKYB and the FAPL cracking down....they work hand in hand.
the FAPL ain't got a clue as to whats what....believe me...doughnuts they are!
murdoch not liking the reduction in commercial cash that he used to have flooding in is why this has all started up...Comment

thats not quite correct the only reason the fapl have stuck there necks out is to protect there biggest cutomer(like any big organisation would do) what they didnt bank on was sly losing the court case now they probably know they backed the wrong horse but its to late. they thought sly was the biggest out there and no court would go against there million pound legal team but now the reallity is some middle eastern country will put the price of oil up by about 0.0002c a barrel and sink slys bid just because they can. the world cup going to the middle east and the loss of the court case was slys downfall not the fapl s. the fapl will kick abit and slap abit but in the end they no slys days are over they will re evaluate in the next few months and do whats best for them or they will go the same way and clubs will start selling there own rights . every dog has his day and uncle ruppe had his!!Comment

Reading this thread it appears people (not pubs but domestic users) will most likely go cs path rather than buying legi. cads because with cs being exchange or paid you will have far more games to watch on Saturday rather then having only one game per Saturday when you have one leg. card.
This is how I look at it from the number of choices of games to watch.Comment

I actally see it the other way around.. if there was no premier league - there wouldn't be no sky as we see it today.
Lets face it who the ~~~~ would want to subscribe sky without the footy.Comment

I think subscribing to sly is not an option but a must...or cable who get their content from sly. sticking to only 4 or 5 channels....back to the eighties...how would anyone survive.
Even not watching that much TV...you still want an option...and football still existed then...as 1St division...but lets give credit where credits due...sly promoted our football to the world by starting the premiership and that's why we can now see some of the top players in the world playing week in week out in our league.Comment

will you please bother your #r#e reading my post before correcting me!!!!!!
also
Fact is, if it wasnt for winston churchill we would all be speaking german now and what happened to him in the next election? what sky have or havent done is neither here nor there they made there name (and plenty of money) from the prem and like someone said in a previos post who would sub to sly now, cs is the better option(even for domestic) ie loads of footy, all the sport, more recent movies, all the docs but i suppose if you like uk living and blighty youve no choice. if they hadnt started all this messing and pushing there weight around theyd be in alot better position than they are now. my heart bleadsLast edited by ohno; 11 March, 2012, 16:40.Comment
