highlander it has dvi to hdmi lead with dm pro so only need one lead

what are you looking a box to do ? is it just to watch all channels if you do not need a twin tuner

also then look at the blade bm7000 real simple to set up and use with the best hd picture out there and some nice functions just added to latest firmware

first jump into this. What would be ideal is something that I can plug the lead from the existing sky dish into and make it go. Of course that's assuming all the appropriate subs are in place.

I know it gives full hd but I didn't think dvi could transmit audio

The cheapest HD box is the openbox S10/S11.

HD picture is spot on, as good as any other box. Has native HDMI output and usb port for connecting an external drive for timeshift or recording.

Good community support, regular channel updates, supports the most popular protocols.

Best part ?59.99 with next day delivery.

Ive bought loads of these and never had any problems, they run cool and silent.

                duo twin tuner about 190

I dont see the point the the se tbh as the pro does just the same and for cheaper.

But I have had a play with a original duo and I liked them.

So for ?190 then id say go for the tuner, if not to bothered then go for the Dm800 Pro.

If you buy a clone for a UK supplier then expect to pay 20 to 30 more than buying direct from china.

The 800SE is better then the 800HD PRO, worth the extra cash.

                - Faster 400mhz CPU
                - Better internal case design and larger internal fully software controllable fan.
                - Built in media player to directly play movies from HDD, USB, Network shares etc...800HD cannot provide this function.

The newer 800SE clones also have built in Wifi.

As far as the cpu goes I have never had both at same time to bechmark them and so far Im happy with the 800 pro performance.

The larger fan yes is an improvement than the pro but I use a notebook cooler and always disconnected the internal fan.

The media player on the 800 is fine for me, I cant ftp mkv films I have ran through mkv2vob and they play from hdd and also via net from fro my nas, although 1080p will stutter on dm.

As for internal wifi a ?6 dongle does same job.

This all all just a matter of opinions.

given ?200 cash I would go for the Duo over both.

If I had ?150 I would stick with the pro and have ?40-?50 left.
