1m gibertini or td110,stab 100 or darkmotor and inverto black ultra or smart titanium. get yourself a t+k bracket and pole over a L bracket if you can also, regards mdt

Good advice MDT as always, I use Inverto black ultra now after using smart titanium for ages and think they are a superior lnb.

my setup is now a triax td110 , darkmotor superior and inverto ultrablack lnb on a scaffold pole between 2 T-K brackets

I would hazard a guess that you wont be able to buy a pack with the exact parts required and you probably have to buy them sepearately, I know I did and I havent seen any packs that contain the best quality parts that are being listed in this thread, but I would recommend that the OP buy the best, fit it once and enjoy the benefits

my motto being , if you buy cheap - you buy twice !

I like the TD110 its a great dish but severely let down by the AZ/EL mount it really is a poor design and i wish Technomate would have a word with which ever company makes this to change it, The fault i find is that in severe wind loading the Slide mount eventually starts to give way slightly leading to a bit of play in the dish, This can be fixed by taking the dish down and pushing the curve inwards to its original form.

I would go with mdt's other recommendation if you can afford it the Gibertini or even an orbital with a Dark Motor and Inverto Black ultra

Triax make the TD1.1 not Technomate & I think Triax AZ/ELs are one of the best AZ/EL designs except perhaps that they are harder to set & cannot easily be modified to take an inclined orbit actuator.

If you look at a Gibi's AZ/EL from above compared to Triax's, they are far too long & thin & flex far more & also project the dish face & it's weight & wind loading out further - especially not a good idea for motorised- same with their polar mounts & even worse with that Gibi to Channel Master 1.2 polar mount mod by sat superstore.

I'm not in love with or trust any manufacturer but in this market Triax are still doing a good, consistent, professional job for a domestic dish providing you avoid shipping damage. I would like it all a bit stronger / thicker &/or higher tensile without going too heavy & better lock nuts etc..- the rust proofing's good except for the odd nut or bolt & very good pole clamps. Have installed loads in exposed locations & have one that's in it's 8th year that is like new & has had every storm batter it in that 8 years.

I like the Gibi steel 'face' - the feed arm looks like Triax [don't like either or the lnb holders tbh]- the box at the back hhmm .. the ali face is too flimsy IMO & the same steel box makes for a heavy ali- ..

My bad yes i did mean Triax, and i still stand by what i said the AZ/EL is shite and my Gibby for the cost blows the Triax out of the water no rust on anything including the Nuts/Bolts.

You pay for what you get and i still would recommend an orbital over that triax piece of crap.

                Dark motor ?50
                Twin inverto black? 25

my dark motor superior was ?45 , inverto twin ultrablack was about ?21 so I would say if you shop around you should find them cheaper

What are the benefits of getting the gibertini over the triax . Is the picture quality any better or is it a better build quality and less likely to fall in high winds

Its made from aluminium and everything is made from Galvanised pressed steel so wont rust including the Nuts/Bolts, so its a lot lighter than the Triax 1.1 but it also performs the same infact some say better.

Sorry for the noob question but what benefits would I get from installing a quad lnb over a twin, as there is not much difference in price ?

4 separate outputs instead of 2 , simple explanation, but the truth

Does this mean I can record more channels at the same time or just allow me to install mutiroom at a later stage
