Hi Ramjet. very interesting. It should work because you have the TM1500 controlling the motor and the HTPC picking up the channels directly from the LNB. I take it he will need both boxes to be on all the time. Can he have a loopthrough from the TM to the HTPC box? A good setup for anybody that has a box without motor functions. Regards.

using my first method the tm1500 can be switched to standby or off once the motor is pointing at the required satellite, until it wants moving again

so the box is used purely as a positioner, and any box will do , openbox , eagle , dm500 , tm1500 , almost any box from the noughties

plan b involves doing what you said , loopthrough from the positioner box , then place it on standby (do not switch off) and then use the slave box or in this case the htpc card for reception. then wake the positioner box up again when wanting to move satellites, placing on stanby again once its on the next satellite, and repeat

Toon Fan

I'm a toon fan in Nw, & have a 1mtr motorised set up, I have seen all of the games I think thi season on a number of diff sat providers. Viasat had all games in English but now this has gone, so you cant be guaranteed every game but I'd say 95% of Toon games show, juts check ljs liveon sat site or nufc.com & then if you have access to these channels by any means which we wont talk about, then you can see them. Tv2 on 0.8 & Nova are both golden the C+ also as the french loving the toon.

Hi. I know that SKY ITALIA a few years ago were showing every Premier League games live. They had one channel for every game . So if for examplef you wanted to see every Toon match home or away you could do so in the UK but i think the cost for the card was over 800 pounds. In Italy the same card would have cost you around 200 pounds because my cousin had one. Dont know what the situation is at the moment. Regards.

card prices arent a problem (i wont go into any further details). I need the frontend to be as simple as possible as the girlfriend will also be using it, and has no interest in AV equipment.

I think the 4LNB system is my only real option, although I am sure the motorised setups would work for others.


Its going to be a suck it and see scenario. I can always adjust the dish just before the season once the matches have been announced on LJs
