    *New* Redline T7600 HD

Currently giving it a test drive and have to say I am pleasantly surprised to see a closed source box that actually ticks a lot of boxes. And before anyone says it, I am not a fan of either closed source and "free gifts" for obvious reasons.

Picture quality is sharp and for educational purposes I tested both C:lines and N:lines and not a glitch from local and remote sources. There is another "free gift" Cam but haven't tried it as yet, and to be honest I don't think I will. I never really appreciated this "free gift" model of business, but each to their own and it will suit those new to Satellite and annoy those that are not.

My opinion is always just that........an opinion!

Working on the bouquet/channel editor tool and also testing at the moment. The firmware is also Beta but very stable and I have tried to break it and it's still working.........so passes the ~~~~ up test

As soon as I get more free time I will update this thread with more results as I test the STB over the next while.

These are the current specs, (although some plugins and quite there yet, but majority are), actually STB specs I will attach later:

The Redline T7600 satellite receiver combines HD and SD satellite reception, excellent high definition picture quality a MultiCrypt CAM. PVR recording to external drives and multimedia playback for an exceptional price.

Redline HD receiver have Media Centre which includes N32 Sites, Photo Sites, Google Maps, Weather Forecast, Bit Torrent, Mackolik, PC Link.

Software and channels database transfer via usb or the disk shared in Lan.

Redline T7600 supports several movie file formats stored on external USB- connected drives like, AVI, VOB, MPG, DAT, FLV, DIVX, REAL VIDEO, MKV.

Music files supported formats are MP3, WMA, and ReaL Audio.

T7600 HD contains five highly enjoyable games, Boxman, Tetris, Hit Rate, Go Bang and Sudoku.

Comes with CA, EMU, Newcs, CCcam, Redcam.

Next Generation Feature ***8216;***8217;Satsharing***8217;***8217; available in 3 modes Auto/SSSA/SSSP

    RRP ?120
The link below contains the latest firmware and a brief tutorial on the STB's other "hidden" settings.

    Redline 7600 Tut & FW.rar download - 2shared

As said quite a good STB for what I have seen so far. But will keep the thread updated or anyone who has also tried it please feel free to add to it.

Looks promising ... any chance of a EPG with this ? I am after a STB for a friend of mine who knows ~~~~ all about STB's and it will have to impress his wife.

Now and next at the moment but the firmware is Beta. I should have a new firmware to test over the weekend and this is one of the bugs that they are trying to iron out.

Try it..........as said I can only give an opinion, but I have the box to test. I need to do quite a bit more with it to give a definitive educated opinion.
