its nothing like a dm500s

the dm500s is SD not HD, and runs linux images of varying sorts, with plugins

the eagle 800 HD runs bespoke software patches like a blade 7000s or a spiderbox do

I looked at these as a cheap box, but support didn't seem too good. Most advice I read was to go with Openbox at that budget so I went for Skybox F3 which I'm happy with

you get what you pay for m8... id go with a dm800pro if you can stretch to it although if i had to choose id say the eaglebox on build quality if its anything like the spiderbox. regards mdt

Yeah that the issue I'm low on cash I might b getting the BM500s soon any review on that

its basically a clone of the dm500s, and runs dm500s images, and is SD not HD

as mentioned earlier , you get what you pay for in this game , and SD boxes are all old hat nowadays

if you buy cheap you normally get an SD box, usually a clone and usually running linux images, or something like an openbox that uses bespoke firmware instead

anything decent will cost more than ?100 new , maybe ?120 to ?150 , or less if secondhand

it is possible to buy a cheap starview combo and use it like a spiderbox, or buy a second hand spiderbox where the gift has run out. these options are better options than an SD clone dreambox or openbox or clone of similar types

ideally you buy a blade bm7000s, or tm5402 , or spiderbox , or a clone dm800HD or clone vu , or original dreambox or vu

best bet is wait until you can afford it and buy something decent, do nor be constrained by budget or you only end up regretting it

a 800hd clone if you can push the budget, steep learning curve but a far better box and you will learn more from it.

If your planning on using the eagle box as a stepping stone, id get a dm500 to get you up and running and save the rest towards a better box
