get an openbox and a sealion... openbox ?60 tops.
sealion ?10 pm tops.. do not pay any more, do not pay for more than 3 months at a time... do get a test line before you pay

how about the skybox f3? is that any good

i don't want to pay too much for a sub each month..

          whats the advantage of dm800pro

i just want a hd capable box, i dont need recording facility etc...

my friend has an openbox *basic. i dont think its hd* and can i get his details from his box and put them in mine to view channels? or wouldn't that work..

its the same box basically.. if you just want hd then openbox is the cheapest option, if he has an openbox then its hd, but no, one sealion per box, so no borrowing your mates

I had an openbox s9 (presumably a faulty on due to it only picking up half of the channels) and ended up getting a bm7000 instead. The openbox was very very basic, no epg just now and next, but if that is all you want it is a very good box for the price.

dm800se or a vu+duo both great boxes loads of personal stuff you can do to them original vu+ is falling in price due to the latest vu on the market

watch out for clones in the vu market the 800se clones are good do

a box with only now and next epg is crap as you will be missing whats on, with a weeks guide you will be more informed, like using a sd box on a hd tv,you can always add an exterior hdd to record later if pvr ready.
