    Multi LNB Setup

    Hi all,

I've got a dish pointing at 13e at present. I would like to be able to get 4e on it as-well. Is this achievable, if so do i leave the dish centred on 13e and then use the bracket to simply align the 2nd LNB up?

This is the bracket I have bought:

    I have an 88cm dish and a 4way switch.

Ideally I'd like to use my motor but unfortunately with the motor attached the dish overhangs into my neighbours garden!!

Any advice would be gratefully received.

might be better to align onto 5e if you can and have hotbird as the offset

its certainly possible, and may work even with it aligned on 13e

you should get those 2 sats ok but I"d point the dish at 4.8E as prime and have 13E as secondary.or you could point the dish at 9E and have both the sats offset. have a play with it and see what the best settings are.If your after the nordic channels they are a bit on the weak side so 4.8E as prime may be best.
      (ramjet beat me to it.)

I have a dish (TD88) aligned to 16e with 4.8e on outer offset, but certainly not the Nordic beams

Thanks guys, I'm after the sports on 4e. is 4e the weakest signal then? If so am I better off pointing my dish at 4e? 13e was hard enough to find!!

            depends on your location

4.8e isnt hard to find for those it is aimed towards, the nordic countries

but for much of the uk its a weak signal with possibly some beams unobtainable, so yes its better to point a dish straight at it to get maximum reception

hotbird 13e is a much stronger signal than 4.8e so if you struggled to get that then you may not get 4.8e at all

so you can buy all the gear you like buts its no guarantee of success

I get most sats ok but I use a motorised td110 and an inverto ultrablack lnb too, so maybe you should consider the lnb at the same time

Thanks, I've just bitten the bullet and set up my motor. I'm now trying to set it up for all dishes. Got hotbird but am struggling to get 28.2e

what setup are you using? I thought you were going for a fixed dish with multi lnbs.have you changed your mind and now setting up a motor?

if you get 13E ok and on usals provided your mounting pole is 100% plumb(check all round with a spirit level) and the dish is 100% central on the motor spigot(must be)you should get the other sats no problem.
check out how to install a motorised dish in the stickies
