Its supposed to be ! The new card is supposed to address the CS issue but a new version of Cccam or update has to written first for it to work (it will not work on present versions of emulators been used)

Unless the technology been used is ground-breaking you can expect it back working over the next few months just like other European providers who have also been addressing this issue.

Satman are you saying its working already ?

The reason I ask is your probably correct but you will find that after all cards are sent out to customers a firmware upgrade will be sent out via satellite to upgrade and fully activate new features of the white card in your receiver, if they did it before all cards are issued many hundreds of thousands would have technicial issues before receiving there new viewing card

The card is already being CS. But the main problem at the moment is that Its not fully updating to give customers their full subscribed package. For e.g i have full sky package but i cant view sports, movies packages with my HD box telling that i have to call customer service to upgrade. Its a glitch which is delaying them rolling out to all old customers. Only new customers are getting the white card at the moment

MMMmmm That interesting ! but i expect all card will be issued over the coming months as stated in the advert ? it has to run a new version of the present Rom or it would be pointless this change happening !

I still think the new card will only kick in when all customers receiver ther new card ...Then Sky will send out a firmware update to all customers receivers via satelite to enable all new functions of the new white card ! when the card change is carried out.

if any changes to firmware was done now it would not work with the present blue card and older card users would have serious issues ....

I think in a month or two we will start seeing issues poping up especially in cs but fingers crossed it will be a easy transition.

what i mean is it seems to be the cards are coming out in small batchs there is lots of people getting new installs and still getting old card so they must be starting it some way i did see some one saying scotland was going to be first then work there way right down , also you are right they could wait for all cards to be give out before they do anything would only be right

My local pub received there new white card today and they have 1 of the first boxes issued from sky I have a newish sky+ box but am still yet to get my new card

the pub most probably has a publicable card so they have priority on getting new cards..a pub pays uoto ?3000 a year for skysports

Ive got my new white card, its not going in to my box untill new cards are hacked !.

At the moment , its possible to get the cards semi - working . As it read but its glitchy as heck . Stay tunes and ill kepp you all updated.

As I have both a Sky+ and a Sky-HD box, on multiroom, will I get the two new cards at the same time and, if not, will it cause any problems?

you will get two seperate cards..just as you got two blue ones!
