I agree with you but noobs going out and spending hundreds on an expensive set up need to be told or guided about the rumours going around and told about the pros and cons.

I dont consider a duo expensive, its been a lot cheaper to buy in real terms than my first sat box 11 years ago or my dm800 four or five years ago with better features included in that cheaper price

the satellite box industry prices have steadily dropped over the last 10 years whilst the features offered have improved more than 10 fold

at the end of the day I am replying to the questions he posed and the requirements determine the price you have to pay, and from what I have read so far a duo will do as he asks, as will a solo2 , but not a dm800 as its a single tuner box

so I stick with my advice, buy a duo or a solo2, IF buying a box that does as asked in post #1

you get what you pay for in this game, and always have, so buy cheap and you buy twice, buy once and get it right if that is at all possible

some good advice in this thread too http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ceiver-311932/

but anyone locking themselves onto a fixed sat dish using one encryption is asking for trouble. same as happened with N3 on cable

VU Duo is what I think I will get.

It comes with latest black hole.

So I guess I install CCAM from the setup menu some place and then if I'm correct there is a file to SSH/FTP to edit for service line?

100% correct m8 (the cfg file in var/etc is one to look out for)
