ok sorted 28.2e on dish today before heavens opened. so now its just a matter of moving other lnbs about to get 19.2 and 13?

normally you start with 19e and then sort out 13e and 28e afterwards, I am sure I mentioned this previously and you also mentioned it in post number 6

I think you will lose 28e when you adjust the dish to get 19e, whereas if you had got 19e first its just a case of pivoting the arm and dish in order to get the rack on the correct slope to get the other satellites, but now when you adjust to get 19e the adjusting of the dish means 28e will disappear on you, so to me it was futile and not what anyone advised you to do

well its easy enough sorted, the main reason i went for 28.2e first after the shitter of a day i had yesterday, was to make sure i COULD, as its what the kids watch most, (i hardly watch tv). nothings been locked into place yet as i knew i had more fiddling to do..

Day 3.. trying AGAIN to find 19.2 got satfinder set to 10744 / 22000 /h arte. my agc keeps fluctuating in the high 80's low 90's but snr stays at 0. same when i try to find 13.0e on the bloomberg transponder. I can get 28.2e fine now, which makes it all the more frustrating why it wont lock on to any other sats

AND for some reason... its just locked on.. maybe the wind blew it because i hadnt tightened everything up yet.. but its THERE scanning now with 100% signal .
Only one lnb is on track at the moment, so after this scan, how do i go about setting up the disecq?

make sure you only connect directly to each lnb in turn whilst setting up

then set the diseqc switch up as astra - 19 on 1 or A , hotbird - 13e on 2 or B , astra 2 - 28e on 3 or C , and leave 4 or D free in case you wish to add a 4th lnb

not possible, you must have locked on to 28e for that to happen

yeah i had . im scanning on 19.2e definitely now arte digital in scan, bein sport max etc..
only at 43% snr but its locked

ok, once that has scanned in , save it and dont bother trying for anything else yet
you need to try adjusting the dish , dish mount , lnb skew and in and out on the lnb neck until you improve that signal , to something like 70% to 90% from your 40%

i physically cant heighten the pole any more.. i may be able to heighten the dish on the pole an inch or 2.. and thanks to the dish arm, i cant alter that in any way. so im stuck with lnb skew, track skew and maybe dish heightening a bit
