listen to what people are saying.... although the blade is a multi-sat capable box they are geared mainly as a fixed 28.2e box with the epg updater ect. if you are going for that style of box go for the TM5402HD or DR-HD D15 as the blades are not as good. if your not goin to go for a simple motorised system then go for an F3 for ?50 stick it on your zone1 and run it untill it turns black. there is a wealth of channels available from various satellites using a good quality box with an excellent tuner like the 5402/d15 without using the lan connection and you can use a smallish dish of 80-88cm and pull in 25 satellites with epl games, movies, kids ect and feeds. once you get a motorised dish you will never look back, regards mdtDM800HDSE SIM 2.10. If I buy an F3 then how long will it roughly last for? Will the blade bm7000s last for a good few years? Whatever you buy your taking a risk especially if you put all your eggs in 28.2 basket. Do some reading whatever you choose your taking a chance on, AndyNew Members http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/fo rums/f5/forum-rules-2/ A Good Place To Start

from what i see your trying to get the best but you dont want to spend a lot, i said earlier go for a DR HD D15 they are ?99 and will last as long as you want it to, and it moves my 1.2 dish via a 36v superjack motor so with a diseqc motor it will do everything you need.just remember this no one knows if the channels will be open next week or next year, over the years most of us have spent a fortune on cards and cams programmers etc before sharing came to the fore and who knows how long that will be available in this hobby nothing is guaranteed to lastPlease Read Carefully!

in the uk equipment would be expected to "last" 6 years under the SOG act although your warranty tends to only be one year
its reasonable to assume a box "will last" 3 years or more , so will actually work as the manufacturer intended it to work
we expect it to do far more than was intended, like people who jailbreak an iphone or ipad
once it has been jailbroken/rooted/patched call it what you like, it could last 5 minutes !!
on the other hand my spiderbox HD has lasted several years and is still used daily, same applies for my dreambox dm800 HD
when I bought them I had no idea how long they would "last" and paid a lot more than 75 quid
this is not a free hobby, it costs, and those costs can change a lot over 12 months never mind 3 years
a motorised system with decent size dish is the best option, and fixing a sat box to a sly dish doesnt give many options apart from freesatComment
