I've been lucky in finding an old steel elliptical dish - Channel Master I believe - dumped in the town centre rubbish area still attached to its roof mounting 2 3/4" diameter J post and coachbolts. It's the type which should have 3 aluminium rods to the LNB holder (one missing) and the face measures 120cm x 140cm. Way too big to fit the car so I had to carry it home stopping at every lamp post for breath. Worth it though, and a good job I'd had 3 Weetabix for breakfast.
It looks like a good restoration project - mainly cleaning off a bit of surface rust and repainting - and should give me a robust signal off Hotbird at 13E once I can find somewhere to mount it.
Is this dish size known as 1.2m or 1.4m?
There were 2 other dishes with it (a Triax in pretty good nick, plus a totally rusted unidentifiable one which I left there) and I guess that they are casualties of the 28.2E changes, as many people I've spoken to are looking to IP delivery of UK channels.
