    Channel Master dish size question

I've been lucky in finding an old steel elliptical dish - Channel Master I believe - dumped in the town centre rubbish area still attached to its roof mounting 2 3/4" diameter J post and coachbolts. It's the type which should have 3 aluminium rods to the LNB holder (one missing) and the face measures 120cm x 140cm. Way too big to fit the car so I had to carry it home stopping at every lamp post for breath. Worth it though, and a good job I'd had 3 Weetabix for breakfast.

It looks like a good restoration project - mainly cleaning off a bit of surface rust and repainting - and should give me a robust signal off Hotbird at 13E once I can find somewhere to mount it.

Is this dish size known as 1.2m or 1.4m?

There were 2 other dishes with it (a Triax in pretty good nick, plus a totally rusted unidentifiable one which I left there) and I guess that they are casualties of the 28.2E changes, as many people I've spoken to are looking to IP delivery of UK channels.

chanel master dishes are a metal frame that's covered
in a resin they are not plain metal, a channel master 1.2 dish
measures 120cm across and 130cm top to bottom, and it mounts
on a 3" post , i just wonder if that dish is a gibertini dish. channel master dishes
are not made now.raven now make the same type of dish and they come in all big sizes
if you look here you will see what these copies of the channel master dishes
look like to compare with the one you have

It is certainly not a Channel Master

A quick scout around found this: http://www.superstock.com/stock-phot...s/1436R-271610

Spot on - even down to the logo!
The aluminium tubes are half-inch diameter and 36" long, so I've just picked up three 1m x 12mm replacements.
Work in progress at the moment, but Looks like it'll be smart when it's done.
