    help setting up motorrised dish

    hie all. im in the process of putting up a 90cm motorised dish. my latitude and longitude are

    Latitude: 52.4355?
    Longitude: -1.4473?

    i have no problems with setting up motor latitude, however i dont know what to do with -1.44 longitude.

    my dish scale starts at 30deg up to 90deg

        have your longitude as 1.4473? west!

          i get that point to be NE of "Winterton-On-Sea" by 6 miles..
          Which wouldnt be too bad if it wasnt in the Sea..

                  .. no mate.. the difference between the two Lat & Longs is 146.8 miles


                  Trouble is the lat and long given is in a field.. i presume the poster lives in one of the houses in the middle row of the 3 rows shown..



                  Needs to narrow the Lat & Long down a bit more though..

                      Thats where my problem is. How do i put 1.4473 on my dish which only starts from 30 degrees upwards

                        The longitude setting is for the receiver not the dish.

                            dish setting for lat 52.4 should be 22.5 for 30 degree motor pole as on most diseqc motors. hope this helps.
