and IBRA? 1.5m High Speed PLATINUM Range 1.4 HDMI Cable 3D: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Excuse my ignorance, I did not actually know it mattered what HDMI cable was used...Perhaps this is why I have never been able to get 3D TV

I am only going off what is supposedly the recommended distance for a non branded HDMI cable and this is apparently 10m in lengh anything above and you should be purchasing a branded cable such as Ixos, Monster Audioquest etc...

Never tested it myself as i have always used Cat5e over long distance runs although for the price of the cables in your link its worth a shot.

HDMI lost the 1.2,1.2a,1.3,1.3a,1.4 moniker's a long time ago the standard is as follows

HDMI Standard, HDMI Standard with ethernet, HDMI HI-Speed etc... have a read here: HDMI :: Manufacturer :: HDMI 1.4 :: Finding the Right Cable

Usually I get these ideas but not this one, I get the jist of it but is that not going to need a lot of those eth/hdmi ports?

I would say stick with your original plan of the 3 HDMI's and see how you go if it works great if not try something else

I would suggest hdmi matrix 4x4 or 4x2 can usually be got for around ?25-30. 10m runs of hdmi will work with the matrix due to the power supply although for runs any longer or for more flexibility and neater look possibly use cat5e to hdmi baluns.

Using a matrix as opposed to a switch gives you more flexibility for furture upgrade.

A link for the ?25-?30 HDMI Matrix 4x4 switch would be great as Matrix units are usually priced for anything between ?500 to around ?16,000

I just received everything today and everything is up working brilliantly, no noticeable drop in sound or picture quality. Early days as it has only been setup for an hour. Now all I need to do is fix this skybox!

Just tried it again there now, there seems to be issues with picture disappearing on TV. Would you have any links for a matrix unit digicon?

Edit: It works but it was being temperamental for a moment

You can find the Matrix units pretty much everywhere but a decent one as i previously posted start at around ?500 and probably not something you need anyway.

Basically a Matrix unit lets you plug multiple items into the unit say F5,Blu Ray, Freesat HD box etc... and then has X amount of outs so basically every TV you feed has access to what you have plugged into the matrix.

all you require is F5 being fed to 3 TV's which is what a HDMI splitter is for, As with anything what you pay for one and its Build wise will show when its running

CYP are a decent brand with both Commercial and domestic use but there cheapest 1x3 HDMI splitter is just shy of ?190 as i said you get what you pay for

Ah maybe not just yet, not ready for that sort of commitment but will definitely look into for the future.

The only issue I am having with the splitter is that it tends to make loud scratch like noises especially after the splitter is just turned on, was shitting myself that the TV blew but then turned it off and back on again. Other than that there isn't any worth while picture or audio degradation reporting, it is doing it's job which is all I can ask for

Thanks for all the advice though, much appreciated.

sorry i meant the 2x4 matrices can be bought for ?25-30 on auction site or possibly dealextreme

i did managed to get wyrestorm 4x4 matrix for just over ?100 on ebay used but in new condition. I think I was lucky, but foe me run s brilliantly. the old 2x4 worked well and in some ways better than 4x4... but i definately need more outputs so will be selling the 2x4 soon.
