Just had another look at the site and as you say, it is the L version in the link. I'm happy to take your advice Digicon and go with the cheaper one if you believe it to not be too much difference to the others.

I've received my dish and LNB and waiting on my motor to arrive. Couldn't believe it took 2 days from germany, amazing service. The dish has come with a load of bracketry and very difficult to follow instructions for the movement but then when I look at photos it seems the motor has a movement system too. Which parts do I use and is there any photo guides for putting the gibi 1m onto a dark motor as I can't find any on this or any other forum using the search system and google doesn't throw up anything close enough either.

I'm getting there. So much to take in. I've just learned something else that would probably be common sense but not to me. . It seems that the motor has only one input from a tuner to move it. Which is fine until tuner A is recording something on 28.2 then I want to move the dish using tuner B to another sat. I was also intending to have my upstairs receiver on the dish too, so how would I move the dish if I wanted to from that receiver? The quad LNB is looking quite pointless if I can only use 1 tuner on the motor. Just when everything was becoming clearer the fog has descended yet again.

Receiver 1 Tuner A fixed, Tuner B motorised. (when I get another twin tuner the motorised dish will be on C/D and fixed back on A/B)
Receiver 2 Tuner A fixed, Tuner B motorised. (I know that I can't move the dish from this only receive from the sat the dish is pointed at)

Lots of scenarios I have thought of but the biggest issue I can think of is if I want to watch a channel on, say 19.2, will receiver 2 know to use tuner B or will it just show a blank screen as tuner A is not pointed at the correct sat?

If there are any other pitfalls then please let me know. I'm more than a little disappointed that I cant get the dish to be moved by the 2 receivers but you live and learn.

if you use a polar mount/actuator and v-box its possible but you would need some sort of IR sender to control the v-box in the living room from the bedroom, regards mdt

Thanks for the reply. It would appear that not many people bother so there must be a good reason for that. cost and messing about i'm guessing.

It can be done but you would need the use of smart priority switches to aid you

On a 1m dish yes although dont expect to view them 24/7 due to the footprint

What time of day would 7.3W be most watchable? Breaks up a lot atm on some channels but not others. guessing some H and some V but not able to work out the difference? When I get a channel that is breaking up, my tv is constantly changing resolution and flashing. Not sure how to stop that happening as when it does happen I have less than a second inbetween flashes to try to get back to a channel that will display correctly and not trip the auto resoltion option. I have the box set to 1080p and running through a denon amp which is also set to 1080p.

Depends which Band and which polarity and the time of day, I cant tell you which ones as you are in a different area to myself.
