I know about the sky side of things I was using a box about a year and half ago until the obvious happened and that's why I went official but yh would like hd really and if it's cheaper to get them through cable rather than paying to have a motorised dish I think I will do that thanks for the advice

A motorised dish won't suddenly make the HD channels work on 28 east but cable is a possible option
on a motorised system you spend more time remembering what you wanted and where was it on,not had the time to go through each sat to see whats on and in english.

Spot on. It took me ages to set up a 4 sat channel list that has a favorite for channels broadcasting with English audio never mind getting it set up for a motor
Hi Setting up a motor is a piece of cake although i would never put a motor on a chimney..too risky and much hassles especially in bad weather. Having a motor is what satellites are all about in my opinion. So much to see and enjoy for all tastes.
I love the sat game.....mainly for the sports....especially for the soccer in HD......& you get to choose which game you want to watch at the weekend...follow your own team
every Sat-day or Sunday....... watched every game this season (spurs) some i wish i would have missed
Yeah maybe in German or Dutch or another language but it beats listening to Michael Owen or Gary Neville
I'm another in agreement that if it's mainly sports it has to be a motor. I'm considering sticking a motor on instead of my fixed dish multi sat this summer as I've hardly used the euro sats in the past 6 months or so. Much more to be had free and with biss further afield than the main euro sats.
Hi all the prob I have is getting it done and where it is also would have to get somebody to do it if I did

Hi most do a lot of reading & do it themselves.....but not mounted on a chimney ..... mount it on a south facing wall.....not all that hard to do
look at it this way if the cable side disappears....(yes cheaper & easier) where next & more layout for another box IPTV or the likes
The sat side has been around for many years & I don't see it going anywhere in the near future (lets call it an investment) that will last a lot longer
Just food for thought.....& you don't think Mr B******n is sat there thinking help yourself to my FREE TV........its ok i will provide it for free for you .
I know I do prefer sat over cable deffo would need someone to install can't do myself cause of where it is and can't move it elsewhere cause I live in a back to back don't suppose u know a fitter in or around Leeds
Hi Shame that i live in London otherwise i would have given you a hand. Problem you may have is that fitters may charge a lot if its fitted on a chimney due to risks etc. Do you have a balcony where a floor mounted motor/dish may be installed??... I have installed a few of these over the years.
