Found on another site.. gamma does not work in the spiderbox's card slot but does if using a diablo cam..

i am now at the point wheir i have put the spiderbox away and dont want 2 look at it no more 1 day it seems 2 work and has stuff on it next day it dont so i got sick of it have 1 box that i just trun on and it works it up dates on its own and seems 2 have more on than the spider but its not hd but who cares it works so will do me may be 1 day i will be happy with the spider but that has not come yet so out of sight is out of mind have a good day all

I would suggest using a different C line then. I would think the Free Gift server is now over subscribed causing many problems such as freezing and locking of channels.

thanks m8 but being new 2 this do you mean i need 2 swap 2 a new server that sounds very good but how do you swap or find 1 then how do you put it in 2 the box like i said for now i have put the box away as it did my head in i need it layed out that easy 2 do that even a fool like me can under stand it and thats the only way i will get that box back out i have been a very happy boy the last few days do i want 2 go back 2 feeling sick have a good 1 all

See if you can get a test line from a premium server provider, then you can see if it's the box or the "Gift" share that's the problem. I don't have one of these boxes, but I suspect the Gift server is well over subscribed by now.

Try Googling cardshare and look through the dedicated forums for decent pay servers. Be aware that Pay servers in general do have a bad rep. They can become over-subscribed or just vanish at any time, so unless you get a good recommendation, subscribe on a Monthly basis.

hi guys, i dont know that much concerning boxs like the s*****box but surely when they set the s***** up they must have a idea of how many boxs they can sell and connect to the s*****, say at a guess 10,000 maximum to provide a stable glitch free service and then when they get to that amount of units sold and connected, then either upgrade and expand the s***** so it can cope with more connections or say thats it now guys the s***** is at its technical limits so we are not selling anymore s*****boxs. is this not comman sense?, or is it more difficult than this?

The reviews of the Spiderbox are good at the moment and then 2 years down the line the support will be dead just like the Darkbox and Darkman will move onto promoting some other box.

Do yourself a favour lads don't listen this crap and stick to Technomate receivers at least they have never stopped support for majority of their boxes over the years.

check the list of Technomate have not been supported for years and soon will come most of them ....like TM 1000 and and 3000 and some HD 6800...

I'm well pleased with my spiderboxes now. The gift channels are great and never freeze even a bit since I changed my crappy ISP DNS servers to opendns servers. (Use google if you want to know more about that).
I also got myself a cheapo computer off the web, installed debian with cccam and stuck a smargo with a cheap sub card in it into the usb slot.
The spider works brilliantly with my new linux computer (I'm so chuffed with myself) and now I've got connected to my two cards + my Gamma (Bulsat) in an irdeto cam and there's nothing I want to watch that I can't watch on any sat.
I thought it would take ages to catch on to the whole CCcam/Newcs thing, but it's so damn easy...

yea the technomate has been good i have 2 of them the old 1500 and the 5300 but now their is only 1 good 1 left on them and that is going off soon so they tell me thats y i did get 1 box i will not name that works very well and up dates on its own and then the spiderbox what can i say that i have not all ready said about this box 2 me its s..t i did read up a lot be 4 i got 1 wish i had not now only went 4 it as they was saying how good it was and i got a hd tv at xmas so gess what had 2 have a hd box o why did i go 4 that 1 be good all tc

Well we need to come here to talk because if you say you have a problem with anything you got from Alsat they just ban you. There have been a huge amount of people suffering the same and Alsat just kick off anyone who doesn't tow the line.

Darkman is a hypocrite. For ages cardsharing was banned on Alsat and people were kicked off for discussing it, then when Alsat's member stopped coming because nothing was open, Alsat's sales have dropped and so what happens? Cardsharing is allowed. They would sell their own mother if it meant a quick sale!

Why not stick to your own forum instead of using this one to sell more kit. I'm afraid this place isn't like Alsat, on here we have a bit more freedom of expression and the right to tell the truth.

The truth is you've ripped off a lot of customers and there are a huge amount of people who say you are scum. I ordered a sat reciever for next day, and paid extra for that, and did it turn up? A week later it wasn't there. I Emailed, no reply, I messaged several times on the forum, and got banned as a troublemaker!

So if you buy from Alsat and it doesn't get there, or doesn't work, they will ignore you and ban you. Don't buy from them.
