Yes tm easier to patch but when there's nothing to patch in the future linux wins again anyway linux can be patched, emu,and loads more.
Like I said bought one wasted a hundread quid or 2 on them and cams when I could have bought a good linux receiver job done and saved a few quid.
Or waste money and get both and see for yourself which is best.

Azbox now has blind scan in last firm/w,still needs work for blind scan atm.No linux box has blind scan apart from the azbox as far as i know. Also the azbox has a better format ress for HD channels than other boxes.End of the day Azbox is looking more like the right way to go.

Hi Stavross,TM boxes i dont think are good receivers. All that can be said on TM receivers in past thay had good support,as a receiver thay are sh*t if im asked,& were over priced. All thay are are clones of clark tec & clark tec were cheeper.Azbox still needs work but gets better quite quick of late.2 many people in satellite dont look @ how good hardware is in a satellite box.Support & hardware get mixed up,if support is taken away, ask yourselfs this guys, what are you left with. apart from a pile of sh*t.

My Technomate 5400 ci super cost only ?84 post free & patched, easy to update via usb & is more suited to newbies than the linux which will be for more knowledgeable persons. Both are good receivers, I have a Humax 2000 Hd receiver also which is very poor for updates in comparison to the Technomate and that cost ?200 + & wish that i had bought a 6800 or 6900 instead.

i dont want to fall out m8....but i have to disagree...i think the tuner threshold on the tm,s are great and give you a pic on weak signals were others dont, plus easy to use and cccam available if you add a diablo wifi...just as much as a linux box, apart from 442 feeds that the azbox can handle...also spiderbox and dreamlink can handle ccam..and soon rumoured to be the nannox as well...so i think there,s life without linux...
