thanks for your help. I might try and contact sky and see what they have to say but if not i will un-plug hard drive. I was hoping at some stage to have the plus features though. I suppose i can always plug it back in if i get it sorted.

No probs m8, If your gonna contact sky then tell them that you want to make use of the "plus" but have noticed that the menu for "anytime tv" is not in the menu.
And it might be just be a matter of when they activate your sky card for the "plus" use, you will prob then be able to download & update the box firmware m8.
