Takes me back, I haven't seen anything on circular polarisation since he 1990's and the old Marcopolo -> Thor 1/Sirius days. Using a normal veritcal/horizontal LNB didn't stop you getting L/R polarised signals, it just meant that the signals were weaker and more prone to breakup. I don't know anything that I can receive that uses L/R nowadays.

Aye but if you get them you tend to be on a motorised setup, which means if you modify your only LNB on a motorised system that the H/V signals will not be as good surely.

Not a problem if you're static and have multiple LNB's though.

I have seen L and R on some sats and was wondering about the reason behind them. This puts things into focus. Thanks.
