Ok....As the gift is free..there is no option to buy without it...so the answer is NO. I may see if i can move the gift over to a different box, i cannot see why i can't though, i have seen to video tutorial, and it just shows a place where the * line goes.

give it a factory reset to clear the box
and i know it clears the gift patch and if you dont
want the gift dont re-load the gift patch

i have a spider 9000 and i factory reset my box while the
box was connected to the server via my router
and it cleared the gift patch along with everything else
chns settings etc: i did the reset to try and sort the sat list
that does show the sats in order from east to west like all
other boxes i have, i did the set up again and set the time
tv motor sats settings and scanned all the chns back on all
the satellites. then i re-loaded the gift patch and followed
the same set up as new and it connected and i have the gift
back check in the network section in the box menu shows the
same info and expire date from my original set up,Please Read Carefully!

i'm not sure mate but it has to be something like how a paired card
and receiver works. so the gift is paired to the spiderbox and the registeration number that shows when it's set up. and the gift will only work on the one receiverPlease Read Carefully!

its all paired up with the serial number of the box.
When i recieved mine in December it didn't come with the gift registration key so i had to contact the supplier who got the registration key after i provided the box serial number.
I believe they come with the reg number preinstalled now and just require patching to activate.Comment

I do recall earlier statements made (post 23) in refererence to another forum "it's just them, over zealous mods". That does not happen here and the member to which you refer has voiced an opinion as he is welcome to do so without you saying we should do something about him as you do not agree with it...

Believe me when I say status means little here when it comes to moderating posts/threads that we deem to require moderating.
Getting back to your very first post, have you now resolved this issue with the latest patch or is the problem still present?
If you said you have solved it in the thread I may have missed it. As per all similar threads on this particular STB the topic in hand becomes a secondary issue.

Yep, thought I posted an update to the situation ages ago. It was the box it's self, got a new one the following week and been fine ever since, and the latest patch makes it even more stable.
I was extreamly upset at first because I had only just brought the box and basically didn't work.

Due to the bad nature of these Spiderbox threads ! with referance the a previous thread ( http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...9000hd-115219/ ) which also ended up going south very fast ! could a Spiderbox section not be created down in the IP receiver section ?
It becoming clear that some individuals (around three of them) are clearly adamant on continually posting threads on the Spiderbox which by all accounts is not supported by many of us who post support for receivers such as the Dreambox and indeed the Technomate on a regular basis.
The Spiderbox is supported directly (or at least sould be ! ) by the sellers websites and issues addressing this receiver should be condcted through these websites where there is support.
Anything relating to Spiderbox seems to be of bad nature generaly not accepted by many of us long term members, give it a remote section or ban descussion on this receiver and it links to pay-servers & Cardsharing which it generates.Comment

As this is general satellite section ie not dreambox/ipbox/technomate etc it has every reason to be talked about here.
If you have an issue with the spiderbox the solution is easy-Don't read anything about them on here and keep your tunnel vision to yourself.
I support the Technomates in the TM section, but the Spider does not have a section hence geberal sat section for posts and replies.
You are just a vip mate nothing else and nothing more same as me.
Status means nothing, I have been Admin/supermod all sorts of different types of status on numerous satellite forums and take it from me it ain't nothing.
If you want to start regulating this forum get a mods job or won't they have you?
