        just got a laptop cooler from fleabay my Dm800 now runs just over half the temperature it used to . And its whisper quiet, i actually had to look to see if they where spinning

            i use this one to, was ?4 delivered and does the job fine, the dreambox runs nice and cool.

                I use cu-coolers directly on the hottest chips (RAM, CPU,...).
                I have made it this way with my old Humax. It had never given up to work.

                In your case (if you want to have strong and good fans) i would recommend to use fans with 230V (or 120V wherever you use it) and mount it with 4 holes in your case directly. The fan you could weld directly to the power supply (best to use a additional fuse).
                It is not difficult to do this.
                Just make one big hole for the cooler itself and 4 small holes for the screw and hex nuts.
                I have already made this to differnet boxes...

                The best position is back side and blowing inside.

                NOTE: only to use with boxes with holes on the top!

                A other way is to change the original fan to a better fan which blows more air inside.
