Just installed firmware 122p works a treat with the 7-day EPG.
got the full 9991 menu aswell

Just need slightly better interface to display epg and maybe ability to save epg descriptions on to USB if the on board memory is too small... The peg shows programme titles but not descriptions. Still great option and with 1080p media streaming possibilities this box is right up there for it's price range

After doing some research, I realised that Sky UK on 28.2e stream the EPG through a separate channel rather than the same channel which other satellite providers do.
What you need to do is find Sky UK EPG channel on your box

It can be found on this satellite stream

Astra 2A (28.2E) - IEPG data 1 - 11778.00 V - 27500 2/3 - SID 4189

You need to manually tune it if you don't have the channel. The channel itself is found under radio rather than TV

If you have the CNDF file from blade, dont worry about manually adding the channel or if you havent deleated it.

Find 'IEPG Data 1' Under radio section on your box and stay on that channel for about 5 Minutes

You should then have a full EPG, The longer you stay on it the more EPG data the Box Downloads.
I estimated about 10mins for a 7 day listing.

I am new to all this and thinking of buying one of these boxes, i am a complete novice!

If i buy the box is it possible to connect to a sky dish, connect Ethernet connect to servers then i am all set up?

You can load the patched firmware from a USB stick, then download a channel list from the Blade Server.

If using a CS server, you will most likely have to pay (CS access is not bundled) and then enter the details on the box, but that is easy.

It's one of the better closed source boxes. Obviously not as versatile as an open source box like the DM or Vu+ boxes.

What do you mean by closed source ....
You do know that the BM7000s is not a Linux receiver.

hey im having a few problems doing this i tried it a few times but had no joy, should i be getting a 7 day epg for the likes of sly sports if done right?

Most important part of new firmware is to download channel list for your area from blade online menu option, then select normal db option instead of default. Once this is done you will have 7 day epg at the end of every favourite group, just select it and keep on it for 1-2 mins

It's only important if you have a fixed dish setup for 28.2e, but it's not much use for a motorized sat setup though.

a great box worth buying would like a twin tunner to come out and may a biger memor to hold epg but maybe usb stick may sort that promblem out later very easy to use and will soon be amuch sort after box leaving dreanbox way behind o much netter to use a big thumbs up to blade
