dish probs again lol

hi guy motor seems to be working fine ( tm 2300) 1.1m triax style dish the dish is moving and looks to be going in the right direction not 100% sure i have long and lat entered correctly however when i manually set the sat to 28.2e i dont get a signal at all is the lnb possible faulty? should i check my cabling from and to the dish? sorry guys this has got me stumped to be honest

see my post in your other thread ref your long/lat.you will not get a signal by sending the dish to 28.2 (or any other sat)if the dish has not been re-aligned.by all means send it to 28.2 but you must then go outside and adjust your motor and dish to get your signal back but make sure the stb is on an active Transponder.

yeah i read the other post m8 tried again today as hardly any wind today, dish seems to turn the worng way ie west is east east is west, i went outside manually moved the dish with the buttons on the motor got the missus to watch the channel bbc one and not a thing im just wondering whether my lnb has died?

Have you tried putting the opposite in the long ie if you have west in try putting east in instead, maybe it will move in the right direction then.

no you dont want to do it that way,send the dish to the sat of choice then manually(that means slacken the mount and turn the whole thing L/R) do not touch the manual button on the motor.

couldnt wait till tomorrow i have a pretty good signal on 19.2e free to air and set it up as lnb1 in the advanced setup bit any ideas now do i go through every sat and put them to lnb1?

use the stickie by westkill set up using usals. You need to set up each sat you are going to use mate save each one, but you have to do them 1 at once and save.

dont know your box but it sounds like you are on diseqc 1.0 which is no good for a motor change to usals or diseqc 1.2 but on 1.2 you will have to find each sat individually,now you have a sat check your coordinates are correct and go from there.but you must follow the proceedure you cant set up a motor on diseqc 1.0.

You will also need to zero and reset your motor then drive to whichever sat you like, then fine tune it. That should be it.
