sounds good mate, also i seemed to always have a problem with 1 west sat, maxium was about 50snr which i was only able to view a few channels with that snr, the old installer told me he couldnt get a strong signal on that sat as i was being blocked, think the guy was just rusing the job really tbh,so il speak with this new installer and see what he can do, il post back with the results to what the problem was when the installer contacts me and fixes it,thanks everone for trying to help

Same here on 1?W 80% on HD channels, BBC World is 100% with a bit of practice and fine tuning it doesn't take long to set them up, saves lots of money on engineers.

i paid ?80 quid in the end mate they quoted me ?120 but he said that would be the most it would cost so when they got here he said it was a lot easier than he thought and then i was chekky and got him to change my single lnb for a quad 9 whihc id purchased a fe weeks earlier and also put a cable in fo my second box in the bedroom so i got a good deal

the thought of paying atleast 80 quid because my dish prob a ml of course and 10 min work is crazy ,i feel like stripping it down and gettin a spirit level to make sure it defo is 100 percent straight and trying from there or lookin out for a sky installer in the street and asking him to get me on 28.2e with maxium snr to start of ,i want to do it myself but really doin my head in, still waiting on guy phoning me and il get a quote of him first anyway to see,

na mate it wont need doing again now hes put a bolt through it and it cant move well if it does the south side of my house will come down ( mine moved because of a poor original installtion the pole had moved int he wall so he redrilled to about double the length of the first guy bloody turks )
so if u get a good guy he will do something similar

np mate,il stick with ur advice then as i do think it was a dodgy install, the guy installed it and didnt even use a spirit level or nothing to make sure pole etc was straight but still got it setup, thanks again

yeah same as my turkish fellow i cut corners by going for the cheap option and paid for it ( he used a ?9.99 sat meter) the new guy had a fancy sat meter where he could actually watch the freeview channels on the sat that he was programming and was checking signal as he went was amazing 9 he said it cost nearly 3 grand and i can see why)
