an hour or less to do! you must be kidding, maybe for a straightforward fixed dish, 10m cable run on a southfacing wall and no complications. i am far from a professional and usually can fit a 1m motorised dish, programm reciever ect ect for ?70 and will do a fixed one for ?40. i am still learning and continue to make mistakes but get there eventually. for a professional cai approved installer with site survey, grade a components your looking at ?90 for a fixed dish and around ?150-?180 for a motorised. regards mdt

Ive been fitting systems on and off for years tbh and the price and time i said is for a standard install i.e. south facing wall, standard bracketry and 10 - 15m cabling. Price would go up say if they wanted it on the chimney or more cabling were needed, but not by an extortionate amount. Pubs & Clubs would be charged more though, and as for price of equipment being trade and not passing savings on to customers, thats not the case at all anyone can buy the setup needed for a standard job as there is a very good dealer on ebay selling the full monte with the exception of cabling for about ?75. Depends where you are too i suppose as there is a lot of competition in my area so company's have to keep low prices in order to get the work. And yes barring no hiccups i could do a standard motorized in around an hour.

Obviously if not being done as a business and as a part timer yes you could charge as little as you wanted.
Also fair play if you can install a motorised set up inc assembling the dish and motor and tuning in the stb fitting/clipping all the cabling in an hr.
