To be honest ive got the latest sif team image on & it works fine

Until the easy install enigma 2 version comes out i will leave at that

I did use the settings 42 east to 30 west but found loads of stuff missing & using pc editor to add & update was really hard

Now ive dowloaded from indivual sats & updated the transponder list on the box so its bang up to date

I might post some settings list once its completed

Then using the favourites systems -put certain channels into boxes -ie films sports, BBc & Itv so there easy to find

UPDATE
i got itvHD test card as of now
ive updated nlb 8421 image rebooted that part ok
language /time ok
satelite just added 28 astra and no more,
scanned 11426 etc got the 1 channel v3401 a3402 itv hd test screen
opened my core ftp added the db5.dat.edited.dat to the var folder and rebooted
Not made any difference , still only got the 1 channel itvhd
is it because the file is named wrong
db5.dat.edited.dat size 901kb

i can see in the var folder , 3 db files
db.dat 246kb 12/17/08
db.dat.new 244kb 10/21/08
db5.dat.edited.dat 901kb 12/16/08

As a suggestion have you checked all the connections on the cuberevo/ipbox as sometimes my cat 5 cable becomes loose at the back & has to be pushed in firmly

Also try using DCC v2.95 (the Dreambox FTP file) to connect to your box as it will show up if its not connecting, or passwords wrong etc

on pceditor the software can be a bit tempermental (i know its only beta) & when i select FTP upload database cuberevo, tick upload database from file, file & select which one (again ive always used a complete file (@otheitis42E-30W) ive edited not a dat.bak one) open & start

Then message of rewriting etc & rebooting box for new settings to load etc -takes approx 10 secs

Dont forget factory reset will wipe all your old channel settings otherwise your box may run slow!

the dcc v 2.95 is this similar to pc editor or is it a ftp software
i know im going wrong with the naming of the file when saving.
should it be
db5.dat
not
db5.dat.edited

yep, reflash your box,, as youve deleted files your box is needing to work, only takes about 15 mins anyway, and if you backed up you files, keys, scce, database you will be fine.

best to start again m8.

Lesson learned, always back image up before tinkering.

keymaster and auto ftp updater are these files that i also drop into var folder ?
please 4give my ignorance , i am a newby and have to learn from the beginning.
its hard ya know when theres no one to speak to .

I would do what i did exactly & see if that works

DCC 2.95 is for tranfering files to your box-it will tell you if everything is connected correctly & passwords are ok

cheers , i have tried ive reloaded the image thats fine now, and just for now installed/search 1 sat 28east and added like i said the itvhd.
i know my ftp software connetcs ok
i know i can download to pc editor using ftp but csannot upload ,Strange i know. even tried your passwords for the sifteam , same old story .

How is your box connected to pc-via usb lead, serial lead or cat 5 cable

box to pc via usb to a cable(printer cable) usb on pc and a/printer on box

ethernet cable cat5 from box to router (this is ok)

transfering thru ftp is no problem
im sure all i need to know now is which file in var folder to replace eg
db.dat
or
db.dat.new

weh hey thats ok mamma !
i knew i was on the right track , many many thanks !.
still a little strange but not 2 bothered more qurious than out i now have 3 files
db.dat
db.dat.new
db5.dat.edited.dat
so i reckon when i change my list in pc editor
save as db5.dat.edited when i drag this ammended file into var it then becomes
db5.dat.edited.dat

Amend database

no, if i tick it , it downloads the channels 5000 of them
its when i un tick as you told me to , that nothing comes
i have all my channels back in my ipbox along with all the sats from 30west to 42east
