    EVO-Xfinity-Android-+-XBMC-DVB-S/S2-Digital-Satellite-Receiver

    Just wondered if anyone has this setup and if it actually does all it says it does (without too much agro) seems a bit too good to be true???
    Thanks

    is that the tv headend one,i believe it does work but needs manual updating as old links apps fail,he said he would buy the amiko a3 instead as more reliable.

      Yeah thats the one - does the A3 work in a similar fashion? I did a search and couldn't find much info on them. Are there any reliable sources of the box? Thanks

        one of my new haunts was a sat shop and is probably an agent for amiko as he has loads of different products .
        Code:
        http://www.tvtrade.ie/amiko-a3.html
        have a look at the video guides also.

          Hi james.

          These had a few bugs / glitches when they 1st arrived etc, I have just bought my 2nd one the other week.
          I must say the latest 29/09/14 firmware goes a long way to making this a super box.
          Boot up time now is seconds, new channel lists with favs, the interface is better now than my stand alone android, it also has access to my nas drive- a really great multimedia box!!

          The only thing i havent sorted is extended epg- if anyone can shed any light?

              Hi Sean,

              Have a look at this(are u holding the vol- button as u pwr on and not release until u see the android robot loader icon on screen);

              This was the firmware i used also(29/09/14)-cant upload as the file is too big(note u put in on the usb as a zip file- ie called`update`).

              Also different usb drive can cause problems in a lot of makes of recievers- try formatting the usb drv/then another drv maybe also - also the file has to be not unzipped fully and make sure named update.zip(the .zip is hidden/can be seen if u right click and go to properties).
