    MGcamd is built into S10.

    Just copy and paste your cws line into Newcamd.list.

    Make sure the network is set to DHCP and reboot you box and router.

      i have 2 lines i test on the openbox s10

      1 will work in both cccam and mgcamd
      but the other only in cccam... any one know what the problem would be.

      I have copy and pasted them and also tried to enter it manually with the remote. Still no luck

          I can get CCcam working in my OB-S10 but not NewCamD.

          I followed your instructions and entered the newCamD list via the MG plug file. Entered the instructions as above but when I go to yellow ok, it jumps to user1800. No way can I save this file.

          I enter the same details via the CCcam.cfg and can load this
          N: file. Similiar files I have tried and made active do not come on line. Any more tips ?
          regards

            Yes there are a lot more unresolved problems with the OB and a lot more bad and conflicting info given out.

                    Well I have done plenty reading up and still cannot get NewCamD to work.

                    The NewCamD is embedded in the S10. How would I find out what version of NewCamD is installed in my box? Users are working with version 5.25. How do I find out mine.?

                    Please dont tell us that "google is our friend"

                      Tell us where you entered the NewCamD file. If possible give us a step by step example using made up data. Seems to me there are lots of people with the same problem and would really like to know what is amiss.

                        This is what your n line should look like

                        N: test.dm800.com 12000 user1008 password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

                        Now Select;

                        menu
                        MGCamd Plug Setup
                        Manage Config Files
                        Newcamd.List
                        Select Green (i think) to add

                        set up single account
                        host - test.dm800.com
                        port - 12000
                        user - user1008

                        deskey - 0102030405060708091011121314

                        the n line set up as cws would be like this

                        cws = test.dm800.com 1200 user1008

                        You can check it by following the above instructions again

                          I'm having the same problem.

                          I'm running a S12 straight out of the bix it had CCCam, Newcamd and MGcamd. My server runs MGCamd and I uploaded the newcamd.list via USB that my server sent me (so I know the line is correct), checked it to make sure it was ok, turned off the decoder with the red button, turned it back on and nothing.

                          I've done it about 50 times since I got it yesterday and no luck whatsoever. I've tried putting the line in manually, I have the Keep alive line in also, also tried removing the keep aline line, DHCP is correctly set, etc.

                          When I turn the decoder on, it never says Cam loading or anything like that, should it??

                          I've tried original firmware and also OPENBOX_S10_111117 firmware. Still nothing.

                          Help please!!!

                            Thankyou Darcu5.
                            I followed your entries and got into the CWS entry within the NewcamD list file. What happens now? How do I make that line active?
                            I then tried your entry exactly for a N line and put that into my CCcam cfg file. It looks like this:-----
                            N: server1 user1008 12000 no active.

                            Looks OK so I copied an active |N line into the CCcam.cfg file
                            and ticked the box to make it active but alas the line just stayed dormant and would not come on line.
                            regards

                              MGcamd should look like this and copied into the "Newcamd.List"

                              CWS = server.aa 20042 abcde tuvwxyz 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

                              N: server.aa 20042 abcde tuvwxyz 17 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

                              abcde being the user name and tuvwxyz being the password.

                              When entered place a tick to make CCcamd active, exit back and reeboot box and router.

                              MGcamd doesn't have to be ticked. Just reeboots.

                              If you are entering manually and have an n line. change the top box to Newcam.

                                Did you do a reboot after you selected the nline??

                                Also as DW190 said above, there is nothing to select on the MGcamd, just reboot and it connects.

                                Seems like there's a few people having problems connecting s10 to an nline.. i can't understand why, what version of firmware are you running.. i have firmware from 15/09/11 running on both s9 and s10, before that i had july firmware on them, both have worked fine for me.
