How to install SoftCam.key into openbox

Hello everybody

I have CCcam 2.3.0 already installed.
Is it enough just to add one of these SoftCam.Key files to my Vu+ Duo /usr/keys folder to be able to open these channels listed in SoftCam.Key?

Hi,

Apologies in advance as I'm new to all this, so sorry if I'm missing something obvious.

I tried to load this onto a Skybox F3 via USB, as described in the 'how to' guide (ie key file titled 'softcam.key'), but it said file not found (or something along those lines). Should this file work on the F3? I also tried to input a couple of lines manually (set out like they are in the screenshots in the guide ie the full line apart from the channel provider) but they didn't seem to open anything as far as I could make out.

Also, in general, are the softcam keys the same for all boxes eg could a technomate or whatever key be used for a F3- even if it meant inputting manually rather than uploading (or trying to upload!) the softcam.key?

hi lukef ,i havent go an f3 but i think most are the same,ive got an s10 rename the file to SoftCam.key capital S and C ,and no most softcams are for the box it says its for.

Thanks. Tried that and still no luck, still saying it can't find file. USB is formatted to FAT32, but has other stuff on it- could that be the problem (the F3 doesn't seem to allow you to specify the file on the usb that you want to upload)?

Tried inputting a few more manually (the al jazeera ones and a couple of ORF ones), but nothing...

try a different way of putting the file in your box,i use stb lan mm, google it or maybe its in the stickys(in red ) nice little programme,local files on the left and openbox + skybox files on the right,unzip the softcam(always use the latest)and drag and drop it in the left columne press the file you want in your box (softcam) and the arrow turns green,and it should load into boxfile job done,reboot your box and it should be in, good luck.
