    Help with gift installation.

    Hi,

    I have a Protek 9700 HD.
I have a gift which i'm not sure how to get it to work.
I have the codes etc to get it to work! but i can't find the right menu to sort it out.
I was told to do this to start with.

Enter into openbox as follows - menu, world icon, mgcamd plug setup, manage config files, newcamd list, press green button to add, enter info below, save and reboot!

well i got to the world icon,(which say installation) but i can't seem to find the rest! maybe there is another way.
Does anyone have any idea plz

    Cheers.

      Hi.

I'm new to all this so I'm learning. I'm trying to set it up to get the channels. As for open box, not really sure what that means. As of course I'm still learning. I have port user pass. But surely I shouldn't write it here as someone else might use it no? Like I said I'm new to this and we all got learn
If someone with some patients could help I be greatful.

      Thanks very much.

try looking in network setup instead of installation setup(world icon)

menu, NETWORK SETUP, mgcamd plug setup, manage config files, newcamd list, press green button to add, enter info below, save and reboot!

Ok i found a little bit of info. don't know if its any good or if it makes any sense

pushing usb and screen+ keys opens the newcamd menue. 16 servers/1 port each are available, hence max 16 3rd party packages can be opened on top of the publicly available ones.

after having obtained server access data from your 3rd-party provider, type in server name = dns of your server (with server ip dns set to on), or numeric server ip in server ip (if dns is set to off).
port, user id and password will have been provided by your provider - type it in the appropriate spaces.
disregard emm, but set protocol to newcamd - and if your provider has cleared you, the leading light indicator will switch from red to yellow/green and you should have pictures now.

the use of the the red, green and yellow keys are self-explanatory, but note: it happens that you'll get freezes or black screen on some packages sometimes - this has got nothing to do with the box but is due to the 3rd party server capacity and/or performance/connectivity. use red key to reset server connection - it does help!

                              enjoy
If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!
