        Hi,
Is "PVR800-editor_dbs.zip" the best channel editor for Skybox F3?

I like the mediabox editor studio v1.09,it lets you merge 2 sat lists together into 1.But it has a 1000 tp limit, which for most euros would be less than 1 sat list has by default.

            Hi guys,

            Need help pls.

I have a channel list tprog.dbs and the pvr800 editor. Please can you tell me how i can change the bb1 hd channel, in the favorites 1 folder, to give the local bbc North west instead? Trying to find a proper, easy to understand tutorial on this seems to be impossible. Any help would be most greatful. thx

something like that it is probably faster to do it with the remote control instead.

Can't do via remote. Will not let you move from one favorite group to another. That's the problem. Thx

With "All Services" selected in PVR800, right-click on BBC1 N West. Select "edit channel". In the box that opens up, click on the "group" PDM & click on the favourite that you want to add it to. Click OK. To delete the original BBC1 HD channel, select the favourite folder that it is in & just right click on it & select "remove item".

The channel you have just added to the favourite will be at the bottom of the favourite list. The only way I know to move it is to then dump the channel list to your box, & use the "move" button in the "edit channel" menu to move your newly added BBC channel to position 1.

no need to move, get rid of it then add to the group you want.If it is just 1 channel, would seem to be the easiest way.I don't use favorites myself.

Is there a way in which I can delete and/or create favourite groups? e.g. I have about 30 favourite groups of which some are named adult (with all channels in them deleted) and some are just named Testing or Fav Group 26,27,28 etc... I want to get rid off these groups.

I have added AJs Channel List to my Skybox F3 and I wouls like to edit this to remove some unused favourites and re-order the list.

For example, Favourite 14 is blank (Adult not required) hence I don't want it to show up on the box. In addition I would like to move Asians to the top of the favourites.

I have downloaded PVR Editor and converted the list to .abs but for some intellectual reason cant figure out how this is being read in PVR Editor and it is confusing me.

Whilst I am at it, i may like to update frequencies/names etc.

Is there a tutorial kicking about ? The PVR 800 download link just houses a few readme files etc

                        Thanks.

Hi, I am looking to do the exact same. Is there an application out that can edit this .abs files so can arrange the order of some of the favourites. The PVR800 does not allow to do this.

Sorry that this is a reply to an old post, but as a new Skybox user I found Slugworth's information very useful. I used it to edit and load a favorite list for Astra 28.2E channels with no problem, but when I added some more channels from Hotbird 13E and Astra 19.2E and tried to save as default data base, a message appears '1961 programs need be losted' (actual words and spelling) and changes are not saved. Do you know what the message means?

database is overloaded and you have to weed out unused channels

Thanks for that Slugworth. So there is a limit to the number of channels that can be processed. In this case I presume I need to reduce the number of channels in the editor by at least 1961.

I am sure you don't need 5000 channels in the list.
It would take days just to go thru every channel to see what's on.
