    open box lmb power problem

    Hi there found the problem I think I posted before that I could not view some channels ie sky sportshd 3 espnhd found that if I select the channel there is no sattelite signal but if I go into menu then lmb power settings turn it off then back to on straight away the channel works but if I change channel and go back it wont work have to turn the lmb power on and off again any ideas read about a fix for it help its not transponder as first thought I think

        Im sure Ive read here that for a few people their boxes dont seem to work properly with their paticular LNB, and that changing it for a different one resolved the issue..

        Seeing as LNB's are dirt cheap on fleabay it might be worth a shot...

          hi i have tried the box at my mums house and sky sports 3 hd and espnhs both diplay so its either the lnb at my end or i might get one of those open box fix kits they sell for around a tenner changes voltage or something i can display the channels if i turn the lnb power setting off then back on it displays so must be voltage like i said thanks

            or if not what would be the best lnb too buy and where from its a standard lnb from sky at the moment

              I had this problem m8 read lots of posts about replacing thermistors and lnb I eventually bought a zinwell sky quad low power lnb and all my problems disappeared. Hope this helps.

                I have sorted it I swapped the lnb from my mums house its an old grundig one works on but some channels have low signal strength about 50% some are around 90% any ideas the main one is sky sports hd 1 its about 38% might buy a satellites amplifier would this help thanks all
