Anyone recommend a usb wifi for the openbox x3 just bought and want to have it wireless as the router is a bit from the from the openbox and don,t want ethernet cable lying everywhere. Many thanks for any replys

You can only use a paticular sort with the correct chipset, have a look on ebay, search "Skybox Openbox Wifi" you'll find they're between 5 to 10 quid.

Got the USB wifi set up and active but each time I press ok for it to connect it just says connecting them times out. Anybody any advice?

haven't you also got to press a 'pairing' button or something similar on the router itself??

make sure ur dhcp is off and ur password is correct including low and high case letters. also ive found that some x3's take a good few tries before they finally connect

Make sure the encryption on the router is only WEP or WPA and not both.. you will need to log in to your router to change these settings

problem with wifi

Problem that i am facing with wifi is than every time i open skybox i have to put my routers code again. There is no function to save the router code at skybox wifi usb dongle? If some one can help i will appreciate.

Remove WEP/WPA password at router page and you wont have to.

Or you can do that and......

On computer, setup new connection manually. Type in wifi name and WEP/WPA pwd and save.

Set this new wifi connection to connect even if not broadcasting or offline mode. Set wifi not to broadcast in router page.

Guys is any one can confirm that any Ralkin wifi chipset will work with skybox f3??? I was trying to find this out but the only one i can find is a chipset RT5370. Is any one know???
