The OP I believe can upgrade with the same firmware that he already has, just nothing else. That to me suggests it's nothing to do with usb stick otherwise he wouldn't be able to upgrade with any firmware and/or channel list.

Hi there i was just wondering if you have made any progress on this problem. I have the same box and the same problem. I am having trouble setting up the wifi so decided to try another image but i get the file mismatch problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would express caution as to where people are sourcing these F3's from as sb18180 has explained maybe a bad batch but i would suggest maybe Clones as there now appears to be 2-3 software sites for firmwares for the different F3's and i would imagine one site is certainly for Clone models.

The only site I know of is Download / Software / Skybox F3/F5/M3_Shenzhen Yojia Technology Co., Ltd. are there other sites sites for clone boxes?

Which from looking at them appear to be the same now where as a few days ago they where very different.

I managed to update the firmware on the box..............it seems it is a Clone, but if you go to:
www.hddvbsw.com

I downloaded both the January 2013 & May 2013 and both work without the mismatch error, the only problem I had was
trying to update the channel list, no matter how many times to tried to update the channel list, it kept reverting back
to the channel list that came with the new firmware............in the end I used the Lan Tool and updated the channel list that way

when reflashing with newer firmware you are offered option keep dbs & settings if this is left at yes the the box will retain the previous channel list

Not sure where your looking or where you get March from, but all the firmware downloads on that site for the F3 are still dated January or May 2013
