SKYBOX F5

hi lads

i'm familiar with the dreambox 500 s and the openbox s10 . my question if my fellow members can help is this . i got a skybox f5s . i have it up and running able to watch all the sports , movies etc . but when i check on the youtube and you**** they dont work . do i have to upgrade the software to get these up and running .
the software version on the box is 3601hd-14-01-2013-0f23 .

That's very old firmware.

You Tube works for me on the latest firmware, but You p0rn still doesn't.

The latest firmware will also give you 7 day EPG.

But as andy91 says, if those things aren't that important, then stick with what you've got.

lads just a quick question ref youtube in the skybox f5 .

i get the you tube say to do a search for the most popular youtube clips on the net . it comes back with the search result showing the various clips it hads found . but when you go to play them it won't play .

is this a common software issue or is there other settings in the box that have to be reset a different way .

This is a software issue which has been fixed in the latest released version for the F5S but as of yet there has not been a new version released for the F5.

When I tried you p0rn yesterday (& on previous days), I got the loading dots that counted up to 100, but then went back to zero & counted up again. It kept doing this over & over again.

When I tried this morning, the clips loaded but they are glitchy & keep buffering.

You tube clips working fine.

Yea, just tried it and ditto, exactly the same. I couldn't watch it for long though, I was starting to get aroused.

Hey folks, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this sort of thing so I was hoping I could be given some guidance. I have a Skybox F5 but haven't updated the firmware in a while (a friend of a friend set it up). I was just wondering if I can update the firmware and not have to enter CCcam info?

How do the cams work not the CCcam or the Mgcam or newcamd the avatar red and x cam it asks for registration code where do you aqquire the codes from f5 and f5s

When you update you flash the firmware to the box replacing the original firmware within the box with a new or different firmware you could backup your settings to a flash drive put the new firmware on the same drive update the firmware the update from usb then same update from usb softcam cccam etc
