skybox f4(new openbox)setting up motor please help
well mate it seems folk are only interested in having a pop at my dish settings rather then helping you out,
so i shall try again; what size dish are you using? i had no trouble getting either of those sats on a 1.25 channel master but i couldn't get badr 23.5 on the 80cm dish
Is the pole that your motor is attached to absolutely plumb? Was the the motor and dish pointing true south before you started any aligning or driving it anywhere? Have you entered your Log & Lat settings into your Box correctly? Have you got USALS enabled for all satellites? Can you get the Thor satellite at 0.8w ?
And darcu, nobodies having a pop at you, was just correcting you, as the advice you was giving the OP about how to input Log Lat settings was incorrect...
The satellite/log&lat/Motor/LNB settings will be identical, so what you had on your S10 you should mirror on your F4... Did you setup the S10 yourself?
got a 90cm dish, on my old s10 box i had no probs with any sat but with this f4 its driving me mad
I can get those sats / channels on a crappy 'Ross' 65cm dish no probs, and like you, was previously using an S10.
Just tried it on my X3, and they all appear OK.
Double-check your sat-settings ('Universal', 'Usals' etc) before you scan, and make sure your lat/long location is set correctly.
If you haven't touched the dish since using the S10, it should be OK (unless it' shifted in the wind!).
i think my long and lat must be out, when i set up my s10 the long and lat were in the box i did the rest on disqec. ive put it in the box as 53.33N and 002.66w for post code wa5 4ds. I get 0.8w but 5e i miss some channels and 23.5 i cant find.
You've got the correct Log&Lat settings in your box, I assume you have USALS enabled for all satellites... It sounds like your dish is not tracking the arc too well, its probably out of alignment and/or the pole the motor sits on is not plumb.
i think the box is confused becase i tried to set it up with disquie, should i remove all settings and channels and start again. just drive to x and fine o.8w on disquie then turn it to usals and let it search
If your Log&Lat is entered perfectly, your LNB setting is Universal 9700-10600 for all satellites, Diseqc disabled on all satellites, USALS enabled for all satellites, you get Thor fine, and the dish moves to 5e ok but then struggles to get all channels, and then fails to line up with anyother satellites further along the arc, then its the dish thats not installed correctly... Take a level to the pole the motor is attached to, see if its proper plumb.
It says 9750 - 10600, what should I change the long or the lat, I think this is the problem . I've got. Dream box 500 when jack that in it finds the sats.
You said your log and lat you entered into the box is 53.33N and 002.66w, and that is correct.. You surely have the same log and lat in your dreambox dont you? Is your Dreambox using USALS?
(just a thought, you havnt got both boxes working off a single feed that you've split, have you?)
