loosing some channels with two boxes running

anyone else having channel loss issues with two sat boxes switched on at the same time? i find iam loosing half my transponders due to signal loss on one of the boxes when i switch on a second box.it seems like it takes out the lnb power of the first box and get no signal on about half of my 92 transponders.when only one box is switched on the reception is fine and signals are good.iam using a quad lnb so boxes have their own feed but my dish is 9+ years old so maybe the lnb is no good for modern satellite reception???? any thoughts anyone?

I have same issue with my M3 and F5. Had an M3 and VU+duo before with no issues. If I have same channel on both boxes, one freezes while the other is fine and then the other way round. Both have different lines and I have tried them on wifi and ethernet and with static ip's and without.

Decided to ditch the f5 because of it as its not worth as much as my bipac router .

        EDIT.
I think its a different issue actually, mine is related with some sort of ip conflict and the router but yours sounds like lnb. Just by a new quad/octo lnb as they are cheap enough and will rule that out if still the same.

i have run f5 and f5 also tried f5 and blade still get the same issue no probs with line/ip conflics thats all fine(no freezing) its just a case of loosing half my transponders due to zero signal strength when 2 boxes running

Try a new lnb and/or cable then. I had issues once and replaced the cable as it was old stuff from analogue days.

I think lnb too. I have same prob. I had little to no picture on some hd stations. Unplugged my other box, deleted channels, searched for channels, added aj list and rebooted. All stations perfect. I haven't tried but my guess is if I connect up the other box again the stations will **** up again...

maybe the coax doesn't have grounding blocks.

R the transponders that you loose the same ones that don't work when switching the LNB power off within your boxes?

dont get any transponders at all on both boxes with lnb power off.should i get some transponders without lnb power?
even a freesat box loses signal when on same time as f5.doin my head in. is anyone running two or more boxes with sucess and without any channel loss?

Ignore that sorry. I thought LNB power off was for something related to accessing further channels.

On Sky1HD I get signal intensity of 85%, quality 72%.

What are your signals like on Sky1HD? Maybe try with just one box on then both.

This will be a power to the lnb issue.. Try swapping the cables around at the lnb (plug them into different ports...)

hi thanks for your reply i was wondering about that if it matters what sockets to use in a quad lnb and if it mattered will give it a try

I wouldn't have thought it matters which sockets you use on a quad LNB unless there is an issue/problem with the LNB (ie a port).

I'm thinking it's the LNB but further tests could narrow down what the problem is if swapping ports makes no difference.
