tried it still the same its all pointing towards the lnb.iam sure you should be able to run four single tuner boxes on a quad lnb because each should be independant of one another so power to lnb should not be an issue.going to get a new one fitted monday see if that cures it.

Yes, you should be able to run 4 boxes on a quad.. However some lnbs have odd power requirements..I've seen odd ones that don't like power on certain ports, others that only use power from one port... But they are only a tenner for a new one, so it's worth the gamble.

u should because that's why it is a quad lnb. A Sky+ setup has two tuners hence need for two different coax cables to the Sky+ box. The setup here is similar to that as far as the LNB is concerned.

If it's not the LNB then its poss quality of signal (ie dish not aligned correctly or poor quality coax (maybe due to water ingress!)

update just had the aerial man out to check lnb all is fine with that the dish recieving 82% signal so its got to be running two f5s must be conflicting with each other in some way just out of intrest is anyone on here running two f5s on the same dish? maybe its a software/hardware fault on the f5s? but no issues at all with the dish, lnb and cable at all.

Its an LNB fault.... promise you !!! Either one or the other box is putting out a high or low voltage, or the LNB is dicky...

that has been a common problem with quad lnbs since the openbox came out.

Do you have a grounding block where the coax comes into the house?

Could it be just one of the F5's? U said earlier that it still doesn't work with freesat and a F5. Can you try the freesat with the other F5?

you need a grounding block, some even put one at the dish and house especially with receivers with a 2prong power cord.
At least it would offer some lightning protection.

tried f5-f5 f5-freesat f5-blade all the same result. if it was the lnb i would lose all channels. soon as you switch on a second box its just like you have switched off the power to the lnb but only on some channels others are fine and it always happens to the same feed.breakthrough if i put f5 on the good feed and a blade box on the bad feed it works ok does not seem to effect the blade box on the bad feed like the other boxes. but the blade is not wifi so it cannot stay on the bad feed. one feed seems to dominate no matter what ports you use.bring back analog a bit of tape would of fixed it.

I'm assuming all the tests done with freesat-f5 and blade-f5 was with same f5 you have used all along. What I'm trying to establish is whether it's all f5s cause this problem for you or just one of your f5s.

Have you tried freesat and blade together?

i have 3 f5s and they all do the same so its not 1 f5 thats broke and the f5s come from two different suppliers dunno got me stummped this one even done a loop through on the good feed still one box goes off.im sure its power to the lnb somehow to much or to little with two boxes but how come the blade works on the bad feed and the rest dont.
