Openbox S10 Ir Sensor

I have an openbox s10 which had an intermittent remote problem which seems to have turned permanent now.

The remote flashes but does not change a thing on the box.

After some searching I reckon it's probably the ir sensor in the box.

Does anyone know where I might get a new ir receiver?

What flashed on the remote, was it just a red indicator light? Have you checked to see if the IR emitter on your remote is actually sending anything out? To check, aim it into a digital cameras lens, in the cameras LCD see if the IR emitter is flashing when you press a button on the remote..

Change the batteries, I've found that cheap batteries don't work very well with these remotes.

make sure no fluorescent lights or plasma tv's are interfering with the remote
