diode fix here is the post - Just a quick update. I have ordered the Diseqc switch and also the in-line slope thingy....but still waiting for these to arrive.
I had heard something about a diode fix so looked into it and today in work I came across a few diodes which look like they might suit (1N5401).
I took about 3" of coax and put an F connector on each end. The added a female-to-female adapter on one end ( so can connect in-line with existing feed at the box end ). I split the coax in the middle and soldered the diode to the inner solid wire, and leaving as much of the outer shield wire in place ( making sure none was touching the inner or diode wire).
Brought it home and connected it in-line with my feed from the LNB at the box end ( make sure Anode end of diode is towards the box input, ie side without the band ) and to my astonishment I now get all the missing channels on Vertical TP's.....Amazing....Fair play to whoever found this fix.
I'll try the other things when they arrive and post an update of those too. :-)
ive got a sat amp which I tried on it which didn't do nothing for me so how will this make it work
