Glitching/freezing/scrambled/....NIGHT TIME ONLY ???..line or Internet??!!

    Hit there all

my f5 works great in the day no glitching at all !

soon as the evening time comes it starts glitching on all ?? channels !

I'm running through wifi at the moment as I only have a mifi dongle at the moe....

will it be the Internet connection causing this or my line?

like I said its fine in the day not a single glitch!... So if it was the wifi wouldn't it do it all the time??

and the same for my line if it was that wouldn't it do it all the time??

im guessing it could be more people using the line at evening times??

or my Internet speeds dropping of a evening??

any advice much appreciated as its doing my head in now!!

was also thinking of getting another line could I still keep my existing line in case it's not that?

Thanks in advance guys.......great forum keep up all the good work!!!

wifi is a no no anyway the worst possible way of connecting your box to the router!! more items connected to your router at night time? downloading ect. could be anything but i would ditch the wifi and go hard wired or home plugs at second best.

Take your box to a mate/relatives house who has broadband one evening... That would exclude your server, or maybe get another test line (but that wouldn't prove much...)

nor would taking it a mates house different router/connections to the router/maybe different isp would prove nothing at all and also get the gift banned for different ip address!!!

I very much doubt your home network would be the cause of the glitching the more likely the server your line is connecting getting overloaded in the evening when everyone comes back home from work, school etc..

Do a pingtest.net test and post results. Maybe do test daytime and one in evening.

Its still possible its ur line as evening are busy (esp weekends) which can but a strain on line.

Of course it would, if for any reason you can not receive the key data been sent your way from the host, ie lost connection, high ping time, timeout en route to the server then you will get glitching and signal loss.

If it works on another connection then it removes your server from the equation, and using another ip will NOT get you "banned"

Correct ... Provided only one IP is accessing the server at a time with the line then it will be fine.

I suppose it is natural mate for people to think the server is at fault, not many understand how the process actually works

If OP was experiencing problems all day long and not just the evenings then I would agree with you but these days with the always on internet connection programs like skype etc.. are always on as well, I don't know the OP but I doubt they would instantly start doing some heavy downloading or streaming just as evening arrives, although I could be wrong.
