unlocking box with rs232 lead and when selcting the file its saaying wrong file

I am trying to unlock my f3 with rs232 lead connected to usb on laptop . I have downloaded the software from here as advised in previous post.

When I get to the com selecting page and browse its brings up file eromclient and when i select file this is the file that appears
    C:\Users\User\Downloads\Upgrade_PVR800_HD_Tool (3)\eromclient.abs

I am trying to choose eromupgrade.exe and this is what is happening.

Can someone advise is first am i using the correct download and if so what an i doing wrong.

My box was locked as i tried to put channel update on before flashing with software upgrade.

    Cheers

        sounds like the wrong cable

plz see 1.5 M DB9 Female 9 Pin to Serial RS232 Modem Cable Lead | eBay

This is the type of cable you need not sure if it should be a straight one or the twisted one

You cant use that cable I'm afraid you need the correct Null modem cable which P&D has kindly linked to, Also a Proper hardware comport on your PC/Laptop would be ideal as some of the usb-serial adaptors are flaky at best

                      USB to Serial RS-232 RS232 DB9 Adaptor Converter Cable Lead Wire 9 Pin 0.6m 60cm | eBay

Starview Kryptview Serial Null Modem Cable DB9F RS232 | eBay

                      Both are required.

The USB to Serial adaptor is not the cheapest but it comes with a driver CD and has the Prolific 2303 chipset. I have used these for years on many laptops and as long as you select the correct port it works fine.

The cable in that link is the kind that you don't want. That one is a straight through serial modem cable & not a null modem cable.

The cable in DW190's post is the right one.

After looking at the leads suggested by DW190 they appear to be exactly the same as the ones i bought but just different makes. one is a null modem cable rs232 and the other is a usb adaptor. Does it need to be these exact leads suggested or is my ADAPTER not suitable ???
Thanks guys and sorry for the confusion earlier as i posted a link to the adapter twice and never linked the null modem cable i already have.
                            Hope you can help again!!
