skybox f3 keeps restarting after flash with null cable help??

hi i resently bought a f3 from a m8 who got it from ebay, when i tryed to put in a new c**** the box asked for a code , im assuming the seller put this code thing in to prevent others from stealing his buisness in the future , anyway i tryed all the usual unlock codes with no luck and decided to reflash it using a null modem cable, everything seems to go well connects to eprom upgrade programme no problem but after the reflash is finished the box just keeps restarting over and over , it counts up to 97 then starts counting again from the start also tv screen is blank when plugged into tv , iv tryed many images with no luck and a few versions of eprom upgrade , any ideas as its doing my head in , searched google many times and any info still dont work , thanks in advance

Do you have more than one box ??
if so make an image of that box & flash the box stuck in the loop with it

or if you have a mate with a box make a backup of his box & flash it with that file

Lol yes mate the file can be uploaded via USB or cable
but only cable if your box is stuck in the load loop

that didnt work p&d still keeps rebooting counts upto LO97 then restarts over and over ahhhhhhhhhhh, thanks for the help though

Hi when flashing with the cable are you ticking bootloader ???? you need to do this

yes p&d tick bootloader everytime, iv tryed every firmwhere from skybox.cc for the f3 ther is 10 firmwhere versions and so far im down to the 6th one with no luck, heres hoping one from the rest will work

you have not asked if they have correct cable?

He must have the correct cable as the OP flashes the box to completion without errors.

Has the OP tried letting the box boot up without the Sat Dish cable connected?

I have the same problem as the guy above. Is it possible that this failure only happens to a cloned box. The reason why I ended up flashing mine was because the HDMI stopped working after I upgraded using ScoobySnack_F3_220612. I went on to try the null modem recovery method and now I am stuck on loading up to 97 percent and the box reloads again and again.

There was a batch of F3 boxes that refused to load any other firmware than the version that it came with, the box you have is more than likely one of them.
The firmware version your looking for is 3601HD_14_01_2013_0F23 I never managed to find it on any of the normal firmware sites, and the best your likely to get is someone to give you a backup off their box. The positives is there are going to be people who have the firmware as they can't upgrade to nothing else

I'm not sure how to go back through my posts but I helped a guy on here to recover his box with 3601HD_14_01_2013_0F23 firmware a while back, if you can find the post maybe he would be kind enough to upload it for you to see if it fixes your box
