Cwaite Sky Numbered Channel List **Discussion** Thread

I just got my box today, flashed it with latest firmware then loaded up the CWAITE latest channel list, everything went well and I followed the instructions.
But I guess some steps are missing maybe?

I can see the channels are added but a lot of the channels dont work. So far only the free ones are working. SKY one isn't working or any of the other channels, I just get a message on screen saying "Scrambled"

Is there any other settings I need to enable or do on the box? I haven't looked or messed about with any of the settings.

Channel lists will not unscramble channels, You need to speak to your MAGIC provider to sort out the scrambled channels

I spent 2 hours trying to figure this out and learnt what I was missing. I wont mention it here as its prob against the rules but anyway in the end I got it working. Guess I need more time to look into this as some channels are still scrambled but then sometimes they are unscrambled.
Also noticed some channels buffer/stutter quite a bit, is that normal? I have a 60mb fibre connection and house is all wired up with ethernet port, get good speeds etc on my pc and other devices. So I don't think its an issue with my internet connection. As I had this box connected directly into the back of the router.

Or do you think that it is down to the servers or MAGIC that I am using?

If your internet is ok sounds like your MAGIC Servers that you are using that is causing the problems, try another Server.

Thanks for the advice! I will look into that. If need be then I might even end up paying for the Magic servers as I know a trusted guy who can get it for me that will last me for 12 months guaranteed.

Yeah my internet connection is good, I use usenet etc so my speeds are top notch.

Has anyone had any issues with latest channel list? Updated both kids boxes today same as I have done many times before. Bit both boxes are just loading to 100 then reloading not booting

Ok thanks for clearing that up. Just seems strange I have updated the boxes many times before then they both do it at same time. I'm guessing with reading I need the rs232 fix?

Installed it two F5s boxes and all ok here.

Installed it two F5s boxes and all ok here.

Installed on 5 boxes, its buggered every single one of them, having to reflash them. Id maybe reupload the file mate.
