Is it possible to put two Dishes onto 1 box with a switch to move to different frequencies. Or is a motorised dish a better option. Thanks in advance !!!

Novasport is on hotbird but only if you have a official card,if your just using the one satellite get yourself a twin LNB,which will feed two STBComment

Hotbird
I have a skyboxf5s and its 28.e and want to tune in hotbird is it possible with another sky dish set to the correct frequency ???Comment

Yes mate, hotbird has a strong signal if your using a mini dish, but as mentioned nova ain't available without a cardComment

if you,ve got a fixed dish and sly lnb then you can only pick that satellite up 28 east, unless you move it to 13 east manualy and it wont pick all the channels up because sly lnb,s only pick up certain frequencys (not universal) get yourself a motor and bigger dish and the worlds your oysterComment

Just for the Record $ly Single/quads are Universal LNBs.
For 13? east and 28.2? east then a minimum of around 80cm dish will be required to account for heavy rain fade margin, Have 13? east as the primary with 28.2? east as the offset and a 2/1 diseqc switch and you will have no trouble.
Unless you want to put up a separate dish for 13? east then i would still suggest a min of around 60cm just to be on the safe side

Sorry to highjack the thread but its on the same lines as the OP
Is it possible to run 1 80cm dish with 2 LNB's mounted on the same dish for 2 box's 1 upstairs 1 downstairs......
If i have got it correct ...
1 feed from each LNB to a diseqc 2x1 (lets say 13 east & 28.2 east )for the box upstairs and the same setup for the box down stairs
my question is can the box down stairs watch 28.2...while the box upstairs watches 13 east at the same time ??
many thxComment

your going to need twin lnb outputs and 2 switches for the last part of your question, if you only use 1 receiver at a time and one of them has an LNB loopthrough then you could use singles with 1 switch and then loop form either upstairs or downstairs to the other receiver or vice versa.
Obviously one receiver would have to be switched off while using the other, but to be honest for the price of twin LNB's and 2 switches its worth doing it that way so you could watch either sat in either room.
My original setup in one of the threads with Photo's shows mine with Smart Titanium Quad rockets X4 on 13?,19.2?,23.5?,28.2? east feeding four different receivers around the house

No what i am saying is 1 dish 2 lnb ( 0ne at 28.2e and the other 13.0e) One receiver and a switch to change between lnb is this possible. or can i just change the lnb to accommodate the whole job.Comment

My last post was answering P&D
Yes you can use 1 dish preferably an 80cm with the prime focus set at 13? east and the offset pointed at 28.2? east both going into a 2/1 diseqc switch with one cable going to your receiver
