My original first post has now been edited to include a newly released official Skybox PICON edit tool. You can use this tool on your PC to edit the relevant .ics file that displays the channel icons which show on the channel info banner of your box.

Yes, copy to root of usb and then using the menu system of your Skybox navigate to " Upgrade by USB ". Of course, whenever upgrading any software, you should always back up your existing files first.Comment

Yea, I can confirm it works for me on my F5S. I just scheduled a ten minute programme on CITV using the OK button in the EPG and while I was watching Gold the box automatically switched over to CITV at the scheduled time and started recording. After pressing the OK button to record a programme you must change the setting to record otherwise it will only change to the scheduled channel.Comment

Sorry, but as far as I can tell, no. There is a newly released 23/12/13 software for the M3 but the release notes state that it's only to fix the Youtube and Youp*rn bugs. Here's a link to my latest Official F3/F5 download which is also for the M3 as well. This software is also available on the Official Skybox website.

I have one of these F5S boxes and have tried all the firmware out there and different channel lists but still have a problem with a lot of the free to air channels, just keep getting no signal on the likes of BBC1, ITV, think the box must have a tuner or frequency issue.Comment

There can be several reasons for this.
A) Your download is corrupt. Try redownloading it.
B) You haven't extracted the file before copying it to your usb stick.
C) You are downloading the wrong software for your box. This software is for the " S " series. Check the model number of your box.
D) Your box is a possible clone box.
E) You did not correctly select the file by placing a tick in it before starting the upgrade process.Last edited by bigade1; 27 December, 2013, 21:49.Comment

Updated my box, all working fine with EPG and picons. Haven't tried recording but this is a massive step in the right direction. I found some of the channels, mainly movies, missing info but the following morning after it auto updated itself all the info was present.Comment
